ROK Consul General Song Yong Wan presented President Lee
Myong Bak’s Appreciation award to Senator Paull Shin which stated that his
dedication and hard work of KOR-US FTA.
It is the only the beginning although it has been started in various
areas. ROK Consul General Song Yong Wan
stated also that Senator Paull Shin support and his selfless support was vital
to success in support of KOR-US FTA in order to strengthen the economic base
for Korea and US and it is very fortunate that we have such selfless and humble
senator with his dedication of work for the citizens and the strengthening our
relationship between Korea and U.S.

Susan Lee also recognized as President Lee Myong Park’s Award Recipients on
December 21st, 2012 for her dedication of work for KORUS FTA

Senator Paull Shin made statement that The Korea has the
big changes, since the queen Seondeok of Silla, now we have the 2nd
Women President which is joy and happiness to see now, Republic of Korea
President, and Park Kun Hae.
Queen Seondeok of Silla, (606 -
17 February 647) reigned as Queen of
Silla, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, from 632 to 647 She was Silla's
twenty-seventh ruler, and its first reigning queen.
President Elect Park Geun Hye is the 11th President and 18th
term President Elect (February 25th, 2013).
Now there is another big change which is beginning to
opening doors for Korea and US FTA and for economic and stronger relationship
between Korea and U.S which could not been happened without the community’ hard
work and with many people’s prayers. It
is a great thing to see it. The world is now known more about Republic of Korea
and our relationship is more stronger more than ever with Korea and U.S even
further to the global economic for around the world.

Free trade agreement between the United States of America and the Republic of Korea which the Negotiations were announced on February 2, 2006, and concluded on April 1, 2007.
The agreement was passed by the United States on October 12, 2011 with the Senate passing it 83-15 and the House 278-151. It was ratified by the National Assembly of South Korea on November 22, 2011, with a vote of 151-7, with 12 abstentions. The trade agreement involves an estimated 362 million consumers in the United States and the Republic of Korea. The agreement entered into effect in March 2012.
The treaty's provisions eliminate 95% of each nation's tariffs on goods within five years, and also create new protections for multinational financial services and other firms.
The KORUS FTA will also provide U.S. suppliers with greater access to the Korean government procurement market. In addition to strengthening US economic partnership, the KORUS FTA would help to solidify the two countries' long-standing geostrategic alliance.
As the first U.S. FTA with a North Asian partner, the KORUS FTA is a model for trade agreements for the rest of the region, and underscores the U.S. commitment to, and engagement in, the Asia-Pacific region.
Meanwhile, Korean American Chamber of Commerce President

the year 2012 award to the Greater Seattle Chinese Chamber of Commerce to
recognize the outstanding achievements in community service and leadership.

Daniel Lee Lee Chang Yal, Executive.(photo desc: 3rd)

Asiana Air Seattle Branch General Manager, Kim (photo desc: 2nd) and Korean
Air Seattle Branch General Manger Kim (photo desc: 3rd) also received appreciation award from
Korean American Chamber of Commerce.

Cindy Ryu congratulated 30 years of service from Korean
American Chamber of Commerce, and addressed that without their dedication of work and their
hard workmanship, the Korean American Chamber of Commerce could not be existed
what it is now.

Economic Seminar lectured by Economist, Dr. Hong Byong
Sik He emphasized of how to make better businesses success and bundle their
packages better and efficiently in order to make the marketable businesses
instead of serving only one isolated items and gave the example of DELL Company
any software packages of touch screen ipad.

Also he mentioned that Window system spent money for
$500M for Cloud server system while the company had profit $22 Billion for year

Finally for Part III, Singing contest was given for 6
contestants were preceded by MC: Radio Hankook Lee sop and the judges were Vice
Consul General Yun Chan Sik, KOAM TV Vice President, Ko Soo Kyong, and Baritone,
Woong Cheon Kim, KA Music Association and Radio Hankook President, Seo Jong Ja.

Before the judges decision, special song was performed by KWA group for Korean song Arirang:

prize ( Oven Toaster). Asiana air and Korean air sponsored for this special
event. Most of the people have received at least one drawing prizes who are
stayed for Year End party and special program.
