Lakehaven Utility District hosted and presented Awards for the 2013 Poster Contest winners which those posters will be using for the 2013 Lakehaven Utility District calendar award presented to the 13 winners including grand prize winner, Raisa Pleasants from Lake Dolloff Elementary School, Federal Way, WA for the Calendar coverpage. The total 623 Federal Way elementary school students participated for this contest. The theme was saving water and the water conservation.

Len Englund Lakehaven Utility District Board Commissioner President, presented awards to the 13 winners at the Lakehaven Utility District in Federal Way on June 14th, Thursday, 2012. Also each individual posters were printed on their T-shirt and the full package of gifts were presented to the award recipients:  Back Pack filled with School Supplies (from Wal-Mart) • T-Shirt • Pass to Pattison’s West Skating Center, Two - One Day Pass to Wild Waves (Value $80), Lanyards, Rulers, and Pens (from Red Canoe Credit Union). For Grand Prize receive All of the above (Except Day Passes), $20 Gift Card to Big 5 Sporting Goods Store, and Two Season Passes to Wild Waves (Value $170).

Lakehaven mission is to manage the resources of Lakehaven utility district. To provide high quality rinking water and collection and treatment of wastewater. To meet or exceed all applicable state and Feeral standards at the lowest long term reasonable cost. Consistent with industry standards. The Board Commissioners teams are: Len Englund as Board Commissioner Chair, Board Commissioners: Charles Gibson, Tim McClain, Ron Nowicki, and Don Miller.   Linda Kochmar, Lakehaven Risk Management who is also Federal Way Council member, Lisa Alexander Board Admin, Gean Gardner Administrator puting togather and organized for this event.

Of course, the Commissioner's wives: Bonnie Nowicki, Jan Gibson , Patty Miller and Sandra Englund were busy and had great time on May 21st, 2012 for making decisions for the poster winners before the award ceremony on June 14, 2012 at 6:30 PM. All Winners Families will receive 2013 calendars by November. Meanwhile, everyone appreciated a great reception including Trader Joe’s for cookies and bottled water contribution for the reception.
