The 6th
Korean American Day Celebration held in Olympia for commemorating
Korean War Veterans who stood up for the freedom and prosperity
Nation at 11:00 AM on January 13, 2013 where the East Campus Plaza next
to the Capitol Way sky bridge located at: 416 Sid Snyder Avenue SW Olympia, WA 98504. The Celebration Performing program was held at the Highline Performing Art Center in Burien, WA at 3:00 PM.
At 11:00 AM, Korean American Day Celebration Foundation
hosted Commemorative memorial service for the Korean War Veterans which about
55 including veterans and community leaders and officials gather for the
service at 11:00 PM including special guest speaker Secretary of State Elect,
Kim Wyman, Senator Paull Shin, Consul Chan Sik Yoon, National Unification
Advisory Council Seattle President, and Korean American Day celebration
foundation Board Chair, John O, Korean War Merit Association, President Yang
Jae Hak, Representative Elect, Linda Kochmar, and Renton City Councilmember
Greg Taylor. The Memorial Service MC served by Sandra Englund.

President, Kim Jun Bae, KADF Board Chair, Consul Chan-sik Yoon, KADF Board
Chair appreciated veterans for their sacrifice and love and set the
freedom for South Korea during their youth which their legacy carries on
forever in our history. Korean War merit association President Yang Jae Hak
sure reminded veterans strong appreciation to United State for their work of
freedom for Korea is truly pays for Korea’s freedom and prosperity their land
now and continues for future….even reminded appreciating to the United Nation.

Wreath Words by Consul Yoon Chang Sik: Korean War veterans sacrifiece and love of freedom carried South Korea now and current economic is far better than years ago because ofthe heroes who fought and sacrificed their lives to
defend South Korea, its freedom, peace and democracy. Their legacy will carry on in our heart.
Secretary of State Elect -Kim Wyman at the Olympia at 11:00 AM, Jan. 13th, 2013. Appreciating to the brave men and women who stood for the freedom during the Korean War. Also congratulated for the 6th Korean American Day Celebration of Washington State. Secretary of State Elect,Kim Wyman is Washington’s 15th Secretary of State, currently serving in her first term. Elected in 2012, She is the second female Secretary of State in Washington history. Succeeding 14th Secretary of State, Sam Reed.
Senator Paull Shin recited the Poem about the America that he wrote: America your name is New Land, Land of opportunity, Land of enduring hope. Admirred by the nations, Desired by its people. A symbol of freedom, An answer to liberty. Sheltering those defeted by appression Beckoning those burdened with despair, Gathering all in a passionate embrace.
Korean War merit association President Yang Jae Hak sure reminded veterans' strong
appreciation to the United State for their work of freedom for Korea and South Korea is truly pays for
Korea’s freedom and prosperity their land now which continues for future prosperity. He also even reminded to all of us that we can not forget that we appreciate to the war veterans and even appreciated to the United Nation that they helped us.
Closing Remarks by Korean American Day Celebration Board Chair, John Oh: Appreciated to the guests for their dedication of support for the Korean American Day Celebration and announced that everyone is invited to the Special Program at 3:00 PM in Highline Performing Art Center on a same day.

The Korean American Day Celebration foundation also hosted
special program at the Highline performing Art center in Burien on January
13th, 2013 at 3:00 PM. At the beginning
may had about 500 people later filled with about 700 people due to the Sunday
church services and came back to the event. Later, about 570 people were at the
cafeteria joined dinner also received giveaway gifts whoever won the drawings.
The Program Part 1 started with EMCEE Janet O KCRA reporter and
introduced Morning Star and Opening by Korean American Committee Chair, Koh
Kyong Ho and he welcomed guests and appreciated their great enthusiastic
support and addressed to have a wonderful time during this special celebration program. Without each one of individual like
you, we could not have the celebration as we are now for the 6th
anniversary of Korean American Day Celebration.
