Representative Roger Freeman (Nov. 11th, 1965) passed away at age of 48 in St Francisco Hospital in October 29th, 2014 which caused with Colon Cancel stage 4 during his in Office of Democratic party, Washington House of Representatives which representing the 30th Legislative District, in addition served Federal Way City Council Position 6 in Office during 2010 to 2012.
On January 14th, 2013, Representative Roger Freeman took the oath of office and was officially sworn in to serve the citizens of the 30th legislative district in the Washington State Legislature.
“I am excited to represent the people of the 30th Legislative District and be their advocate in Olympia. I am grateful to have so many people supporting me on this journey,” said Freeman.

1) Protecting Washington’s most vulnerable citizens by fully funding DSHS and reforming laws around school truancy, Child Protective Services and non-violent offenders
2) Ensuring that the Legislature complies with the Washington Supreme Court’s ruling in the McCleary case to fully fund K-12 education
3) Empowering and expanding STEM education in the K-12 system to encourage more kids to become engineers, programmers, and scientists
4) Creating an economic climate that encourages startup company growth and retention
He was true communities and people's advocator and Lawyer for public defender who is finished Iowa State University in BA and Washburn University (J.D) his spous is Mrs. Sonya Freeman. He will be remaining his dedication of his work and legacy forever in our heart.
According to Governor's News Letter, October 29th, 2014, Governor Jay Inslee addressed his Statement regarding the passing of Rep. Roger Freeman:
“Roger came to the state Legislature with a passion for serving his community and advocating for the most vulnerable, particularly children and children with disabilities. He was fully committed to his work despite the battle he faced against cancer, and was one of the most professional, eloquent and kind-hearted legislators I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Trudi and I send our deepest condolences to Roger’s wife, Sonya, and their two young children. Our thoughts are with them and everyone who served with him. I know they’ll miss him too.”

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Rep. Roger Freeman will be at "Our Saviour's Baptist Church", 701 S. 320th Street, Federal Way, WA, on Saturday, November 22, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.to bring his family, friends, and constituents together in celebration of
Freeman's life and contributions to his community.
