Part 1: The 9th Korean American Day Celebration Appreciation Luncheon started with background music, with Fusion style of (Korean Classical music) Arirang by Morning Glory and the program proceeded by MC Shari Song.

gave the greetings as saying sincere appreciation of Washington State’s support
of Korean American Communities and joining together diversity and cultural exchanges
which recaps more than 100 years ago Hawaii immigration even further Washington
State Bill 5166which is the most proud
thing, could not happen without Korean War Veterans and he emphasized special
appreciation to the legislatives and Korean War Veterans.

The Event room was decorated by Pyong An Church volunteer members with American Flags and Korean war veterans of American militaries helping and supporting which was framed with many articles of Korean war, and photos, the decoration have shown the hearts of soul that was shown sincere appreciation which is that we have not forgotten their appreciation. After many years of the Korean immigrants’ American Dream life in U.S.A soil even further, State of Washington officials have granted Korean American Day Celebration and designated Korean American Day Celebration on January 13th . The bill 5166 have passed by the legislative officials and signed on April 9th, 2007 which was signed by Governor Chris Gregoire. It highlights the cultural and economic achievements made by Washington’s Korean-Americans since their arrival in Washington State.

The first Korean immigrants arrived in the early part of the 20th century as tenant laborers. Since then South Korea has become an important trade partner with Washington State, in that Governor Jay Inslee praised that Representative Cindy Ryu’s dedication and passionate worker among the Korean American communities which he was pleased to describing the visible affected areas in education and economic development trade between Korea and Washington State.

Meanwhile, Governor Jay Inslee drew the audience’s attention with showing a portable small folding fan and he gave the story telling about the Hyendae manufacturing facility visit that he had in Korea last year and described great memories of story which became the world economic leading country from their hard work and consistent including the small business communities’ success because of their in dedication of work and entrepreneur instincts of the Korean American Community that they have shown the exampled during the trade show which have pleased and shown so much efforts of work that they have.

Consul General Moon, duk-ho remarks added attention to the special guests: Korean War Veterans, Senators, and Representatives. It is the more than 70 years since the Korean liberation day. After the Korean Peninsula was liberated by the Allies in 1945, independent Korean governments were created three years later, on August 15, 1948, when the pro-Soviet Kim Il-sung was made first Premier of North Korea and pro-U.S. Syngman Rhee was made first President of South Korea. Gwangbokjeol was officially designated a public holiday on October 1, 1949 in South Korea.
It is now South Korea is the 6th world leading trading country which the Washington State have the potential connection as existing the global world leading companies like; The Boeing, Microsoft, Starbuks, Amazon, company in Washington State enven the defense space.

The Appreciation Luncheon,
special guests participated and RSVP lists are with the following officials and Korean War
Veterans. Due to the officials sessions, some Representatives and some Senators had to just stop in to participating this even for others have total 63 officials have participated this special event and made historic moment!

Closing
remarks was given by Committee Chair, Sandra Englund, which described all the
appreciation and expressed
sincere appreciation to those of who stood and fought for our freedom and peace
even, many of them died during the war and including many are remained as
disabled because for our world humanitarians’ to save.Also those who have made this Korean American
Day Celebration possible as we celebrates the 9th Korean AmericanDay Celebration.
My
