According
to Seattle Times, dated: February 25, 2005: Chief Executive Harry
Stonecipher said "If the tanker program doesn't come on in a timely
basis, then we are going to have a line break," Stonecipher said,
reiterating Boeing's plan to make a decision soon. "Then restarting
the line costs somebody some money." (3)
Many
citizens can not imagine ending production on its 767 assembly line
in Everett, the line should be able to restart upon winning a Pentagon
contract for air-refueling tankers. It is very critical matter that
The Bush Administration has to make decision ASAP. Bob William Federal
Way Policeman remembers that The Boeing Headquarter moved out from
Seattle to Chicago in September 2001. Bob William did not want to
see the situation again. Although Bob William thinks Washington
State Government is doing a better job now for supporting the Boeing
Company what it's needed. He hopes Washington State Government support
the Boeing Company whatever it takes to stay in good shape. Bob
William made another comment "When The Boeing Company is not doing
good business, The Washington State economic is going to be low
like ripple action for other industries….We hope The Boeing Company
receives full support to stay in good shape whatever it takes" .
Many citizens hope that the Boeing 767 Tanker Production remains
in Everett, Washington. I agree with Bob William, The Washington
State Government is doing a better job, especially for the resources
what they need.
Per
Statement from Sen. Murray on Boeing 767 Tanker Deal, For Immediate
Release: Tuesday, December 4, 2001, Senator Murray mentioned that
"Washington State's economy has suffered disproportionately in the
economic downturn, and Boeing and its workers have been especially
hard-hit in the aftermath of September 11th."
If
the President signs the measure, this lease will provide a
tremendous boost to the workers and the
economy in the Puget Sound and will provide our fighting
forces with the resources they need. Many
senators supported this issue like Sen. Inouye (D-Hi.)
and Sen. Stevens (R-Ak.), and who were instrumental Senator
Cantwell (D-Wa), on behalf of Boeing. (4)
We
the citizens understand that President George Bush is well aware
of this issue and this will support USA economic recover a great
deal. (6)
According
to IMMEDIATE RELEASE (2003-14) May 23,2003 Washington, D.C. - Office
of Management and Budget Director Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. released
the following statement today in reaction to the announcement regarding
the Boeing Tanker Lease: "From where this
began, taxpayers will save at least $2 billion; so it was well worth
our time and effort. This also begins the important process of recapitalizing
the tanker fleet, which is a priority for the Administration." (6)
Speaking
of 767 Tanker Production, it started July 1,1978, Boeing New wide
body 767 in Everett Washington. The first Boeing KC-767 was moved
from the Boeing-Everett Washington production line to the Boeing-Wichita
Kansas Modification Center in July 2003 for aircraft modification
and installation of military tanker unique items. This aircraft
will roll-out of the hangar in February 2005 and will begin extensive
flight testing in the second quarter of 2005. The aircraft will
deliver to the Italian Air Force in 2006. It is proven the right
tanker transport solution, reliable performance from an unparalleled
Global Tanker Team, offers the best value, and flexible configuration.
It is The very Best "767 Tanker and Transport."
The
KC-767 will be the world's newest and most advanced tanker. It can
offload 20 percent more gas than the KC-135E and unlike the E-model,
can itself be refueled in flight. It will also have the capability
to refuel Air Force, Navy, Marine and allied aircraft on every mission.
It
is simply the right solution for air-refueling and transport needs
for military services around the globe. It provides enhanced mission
capability, whether in support of force projection, humanitarian
missions or worldwide deployments. The 767 Tanker & Transport
is a low-risk solution that brings to bear the unique capabilities
of the world leaders in tanker design and integration.
The
world most advanced in tanker design and integration. Here
is the brief descriptions about 767 Tanker Programs: Global within
flight refueling capability Modern, State-of-the-Art digital flight
deck for Cockpit and advanced avionics.
For
Automated Flight Controls: Autopilot flight director functions in
all phases of flight (takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, and landing).
Auto throttles capability through full flight regime. The flight
control augmentation system includes yaw damper and stabilizer trim
functions. The yaw damper includes turn coordination. The stabilizer
trim system provides advanced speed & trim control throughout the
flight envelope.
It
is simply the right solution for new century Aerial refueling
requirements: Flexible capability, Affordable Operation, Comprehensive
Support. Proven fact that refined Tanker Technology. (UARRSI),
Universal, Aerial, Refueling, Receptacle, Slipway Installation,
Advanced Digital Cockpit, Advanced Boom Refueling System, Foundation
of Unmatched Tanker Experience. More than 2000 Tankers have been
delivered up to now. (1)
If
Boeing does not get the tanker deal with the Air Force, it will
be hard pressed to win commercial sales to keep the 767 production
line open. Development of the 7E7 will become even more important
for Boeing to retain market share for 250-seat airplanes. The 767
probably will be superceded by the the 7E7 if the tanker deal does
not materialize. (2)
As
Senator Cantwell addressed in May 23, 2003, "The men and women who
serve our nation in the Air Force need and deserve the best equipment
available, and the Boeing 767 tanker is a best-of-breed technology.
It will play a critical role in keeping our military strong and
providing for our national defense." (5)
It
is our prayer and hope that stays in approval for Boeing
767 Tanker Deal from The Bush Administration. It is making
a lot of sense for U.S.A Economic and for Washington, and many other
States and beyond………
