Last October 30th, 2010, the 60th Miss World pageant was held in Sanya, People's Republic of China after Vietnam backed out of the hosting contract. Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar crowned her successor Alexandria Mills of the United States as Miss 2010.

Miss Alexandria Mills (born in Louisville, Kentucky, USA) is a beauty pageant titleholder from the United States who was crowned Miss World 2010 on October 30, 2010 in Sanya, China. Prior to participating in Miss World, 18-year-old Mills graduated high school and wanted to become a teacher. A vegetarian, Mills is also a fashion model and is listed with Elite Models agency.
Miss Mills was appointed as Miss World United States 2010 to represent her country at the 2010 Miss World pageant held in Sanya, China.

Beauty Crown Cultural Center or mostly called Crown of Beauty Theatre is an indoor arena or theater in the tropical city of Sanya, Hainan Island, People's Republic of China, and it is currently one of the biggest arena or theater for arts and entertainment venues, which stands 36 meters high and covers about 10,000 square meters, and was built in 2003. Located in the city center, the crown-shaped Beauty Crown Theatre or Crown of Beauty Theatre was specially built for the Miss World pageant in 2003. The 3,500-seat theater is equipped with an up-to-date and high-tech audio and lightning system. It hosted four Miss World events: Miss World 2003, Miss World 2004, Miss World 2005, and Miss World 2007 and hosted Miss World 2010 on October 30, 2010.
