Last November 19th, 2011, I celebrate you 2011 ceremony was given at Our Savior's Baptist Church, in Federal Way, WA. This was 3rd Anniversary. 35 people were receiving Unsung Hero awards (Sandra Alinock, Joseph Bowman, IV, Roy Anderesen, Marvin & Roberta Brown, Harold & rose Blackwell, Venice Brown, Silvia Cazares, Cindy Duccich, Linda Cope, Enid Dwyer, Bruce Dixon, Carmeta Francis, Hulet Gates, III, James Hampton, Alex R. Green, Bruce Honda, Paula Dwn Griffin, Nancy JaenickeCheryl Cuthbertson-Jones, Dick Mayer, Glen & Janet Lee, Bette Simpson-Opstad, Leonid Lisitsyn, Nicolay Pastuhov, Bob "coach"Roach, Elvira Rybakov, Mary I. Robinson, Vasiliy Stupin, Darla Ross, Dori Synn, Susan Toohey, Kallee Kelliher, Isaac Wani, Rayn Lee, Special Award, Monda Holsinger (Recipients of the Mayor's Award for Community Service).
I Celebrate you was founded by Write a Blessing Media, president,
with a vision to change communities’ one person at a time and
have created an arena for people of diverse groups to converge.
Dori Synn was one of the Asian community award recipient among the 35 award recipients.

Dori Synn joined the Korean
Women's Association since 1980. She was
KWA President in 1988 and 2005. She served
several terms as chairman of the board of directors. Currently
she serves as a board vice chair.
Dori Synn played a major
role in the beginning establishing the Korean language school at KWA. She helped build the library and school
buildings. Dori was principle in early 1980s in those days.
Dori Synn has been a strong advocate
for the community and it is connections to the broader communities in
Washington State. She is worked as a volunteer on the Korean American Day
Celebration foundation, Korean Unification Association, and Korean Women’s
Association Board member.
Dori supports her local
community. This year Dori’s selfless
support for the Han Woo Ri festival’s was one of the keys to its
success. Dori Synn always finds a way to
make a difference in our communities, also a great mother for her family. Here is what her daughter Angela Synn
expresses about her: “My
mother’s greatest strength has been her resilience and ability to persevere
through any difficult circumstance. She
taught us through her example the importance of serving our community as a
duty, not an option. I have seen how her
life has been enriched by living in community and working as a community to
accomplish great things that we as individuals could not accomplish by
ourselves.”
“Throughout
her life, her optimism, strong leadership, and focus on action have been
inspirational to me. I am proud to have
a mother who has sacrificed her time and energy to build our Korean-American
community and ensure the preservation of our Korean culture and identity in
this great country.” Dori Synn nominated by KWA Board, Sandra Englund.
Nadell, As the founder and executive director, he is
passionate about what he does for others. Not only he is involved in many
nonprofit organizations throughout the Greater Seattle area as a volunteer but
he spends time getting to know people and genuinely remind us all never to
forget the contributions of those who have done their part to shape our
community in the right direction. Nendell said that "If we belong to nothing, there is no reason to make sacrifies for other people. Duty and onscience have no meaning if there is no sense of commitment to others, and others to us."

The 3rd anniversary I celebrate you program Emcees by Angela King & Federal Way Mirror, Rudi Alcott. Greetings from City of Federal Way Mayor, Skip Priest. He was proud Unsung heroes award recipeients and appreciated founder "I Celebrate You" and other coordinators who made this event possible. Monda Holsinger was an one of the special award Recipients of the
Mayor's Award for Community Service.

Motivation Address by Dr. John Vassall, SSocial Media/Electronic Tributes by Henry Yu, Tribute in Dance, "Carry Your Candle" by Consuelo Palmer, with Esmeralda Valenzuela and Jocelyn Jones. Overview of "I Celebrate You" by Michael Roberts, Motivational Address by Peggy LaPorte, and Lastley, Give me my flowers while I live poetry by Patty Boyd. The celebration started at 6:00 PM was ended after 9:00 PM.
