Duck Derby

During the economic crisis, it is down to everywhere including the non-profit organizations. We all of us just want to see the economic recovers as soon as possible. In the meantime, non-profit organizations are going forward with many volunteer workers and doing the fund raising when the budget have been cut more than 50 percent in order to continue the programs. KWA (Korean Women's Association) is no different. KWA is working hard including Board Chair, Sujin Crow with board members, KWA President Yong Sook Goering with members and staff which is not easy, especially selling ducks are challenging when it's in bad economic in order to make survive organizations as requesting sponsorship or selling ducks for each $5.
See below for more information how you can support as sponsorship: KWA Duck Derby is going to be in Foss Waterway: 1600 Dock St. Tacoma, Washington in Ocotber 1, 2011 on Saturday. KWA is hoping many of you can join Duck Derby with friends and family and have fun picnic or just enjoy free food, entertainment. KWA welcomes for all ages for this great event. The goal is to sell 5,000 rubber ducks, Currently, KWA sold 2,232 ducks, although, it is still 2,768 ducks to sell until October 1st, 2011. However, There are many companies are helping to survive KWA duck derby like, Asiana Air, Pi Bank: Pacific International Bank, Chase, Allied Group, Inc. Media support by: KO-AM TV, Radio HanKook Even United States Air Force is helping for duck derby fund raising success as boosting mini F-22 Raptor: KWA is an internationally recognized non-profit social services agency that offers a broad range of social and human services to people in need throughout Western Washington. Known for its innovative ability to provide needed and specialized services to people of all cultures, KWA’s expertise is in meeting the needs of the underserved and poor populations. KWA provides a variety of programs and services throughout the Puget Sound. Home care that provides services to the elderly and those with disabilities serves its largest population. Other services include Asian and minority services such as naturalization, senior services such as senior day care and meal sites, housing including low-income housing, personal safety such as domestic violence and sexual assault support, emergency services such as basic food outreach, and health services such as cancer support and nutrition classes.
