EU
Needs STOP EXCUSING 7E7 JETLINER IN THE SEATTLE AREA
According
to seattlepi.nwsource.com, October 7, 2004: The U.S. complaint alleges
European governments systematically flouted a 1992 agreement that
allowed them to underwrite one-third of the cost of developing new
Airbus aircraft. In all, the complaint estimates that Airbus received
more than $15 billion in government loans since 1967.
How
about The European Union and the United States agreed in 1992 to
fix subsidy ceilings for Boeing and Airbus?
EU subsidies do not make
any sense for the bilateral accord. Again using tactic way to dominating
the global marketing is not make any fair to the Boeing Company
and other industries.....
Yet,
EU complains the $3 billion package of tax breaks Washington State offered
Boeing to persuade it to build its new 7E7 jetliner in the Seattle area.
(3)
In
2003, the state approved a $3.2 billion package of tax breaks and other
incentives to help persuade Boeing to build its 787 Dreamliner in Everett.
Boeing was considering an assembly site in the South. In approving the
incentive package, state lawmakers hoped key
Boeing suppliers would follow the 787 to
Everett.(8)
Washington
offersTHE BEST TRAINING CENTER TO REFORMS, and work forces for
unemployment and workers' compensation systems.
Here is a good example: the Boeing Company's Learning
Together Program is a great program for 100 % tuition pay program for
employees. (2)
EU can not excuse the world best 7E7 jetliner in the Seattle area and comparing with over
30 years of Government subsidies. THE WASHINGTON STATES SUPPORTS UNEMPLOYMENT FOR WORK FORCES REFORM AND LEARNING
TOGETHER PROGRAMS IN WASHINGTON STATE. IT IS WASHINGTON STATE'S PRIDE AND WASHINGTON STATE SHOULD CONTINUE TO SUPPORT
FOR THIS GOOD REASON FOR THE WASHINGTON STATE AND FOR HIGHER EDUCATION.

According
to Fact Sheet: U.S.-EU Summit: Continuing Our Cooperation to Expand
Transatlantic Trade by US Bush Administration. “Office of the Press Secretary” June 24, 2004: Open trade is not just an economic opportunity, it is a moral
imperative. Trade creates jobs for the unemployed. When we negotiate for
open markets, we are providing new hope for the world's poor." (1)
President
George W. Bush( in May 7, 2001) pursued The United States
and the European Union share the largest bilateral trade and investment
relationship in the world, accounting for over $1.5 trillion. In order to ensure that this critically
important economic relationship continues to thrive, President Bush and
his EU counterparts established in 2002 the "Positive Economic Agenda"
to advance bilateral cooperation to reduce trade frictions and foster
expanded transatlantic commerce.
(1)
President
Bush and his EU counterparts welcomed a joint report from US and EU officials participating in the Financial Markets
Regulatory Dialogue during Financial Markets Regulatory Dialogue. The report describes the ongoing collaboration
of US and EU policy and regulatory officials on corporate governance and financial
market regulation. The Dialogue, launched in
2002, provides a forum for discussing bilateral financial and regulatory issues,
with a
view to fostering an efficient and transparent transatlantic capital market.
The Dialogue has, in particular, provided a useful vehicle for ensuring that European legislation not impede US
participation in European capital markets (1)
It
is too long and need stop 35 years of Europeans justified subsidies to
Airbus as necessary to support an 'infant' industry. US Trade Representative Robert Zoellick filed
the complaint.(3)
The United States and EU agreed in 1992 on a deal which limited subsidies
to 33 percent of the production costs for new models.
Boeing
President and Chief Executive Officer Harry Stonecipher mentioned that
"It is clear that the 1992 agreement does not reflect current market
realities and has outlived its usefulness,” and “Boeing shares the government's
view that EU subsidies to Airbus—now a successful and profitable company—must
cease. We remain determined to ensure that competition in the large commercial
aircraft market is undistorted by such subsidies,”.

EU
is The European Union or EU is an international organization of 25 European
states, established with that name by the Treaty on European Union (commonly
known as the Maastricht treaty) in 1992 but many aspects of it existing
since the 1950s. Its headquarters are in Brussels. (5)
The Maastricht treaty (formally, the Treaty of the European Union) was
signed on 7 February 1992 between the members of the European Community
and entered into force on 1 November 1993. It led to the creation of the
European Union and was the result of separate negotiations on monetary
union and on political union.(6)
According
to PROTOCOL on the transition to the third stage of Economic and Monetary
Union Declare the irreversible character of the Community's movement
to the third stage of Economic and Monetary Union by signing the new Treaty
provisions on Economic and Monetary Union.(7)
To conclude, the global market should be harmonized
the world by the fair marketing. The
World Best Boeing's new 7E7 Dreamliner should stays with the world global
marketing fairness. It is positive to see, Bush Administration made very clear about bilateral financial and regulatory issues from Joint
report from US and EU for Financial Markets
Regulation in 2002. The fact
shows, it is indeed need serious talk EU to stop EU subsidies.
