Korean Women's Association of Washington hosted Police Appreciation
Dinner in May 23rd, 2005 about 50 police officers and 50 guests attended
this event. Executive Director, Lua Pritchard and KWA Board Chair, Kyong
Arbeeny presented appreciation awards to the Pierce County Chief of
Police, Jim Jenkins, University Place Chief of Police, Jim Andrew, Lake
wood, Chief of Police, Larry Sander, City of Dupont, Chief of Police,
Michael Pohl, Town of Ruston, Chief of police, Jim Reinhold, and City
of Tacoma, Chief of Police, Don Rumster (Capt. Mike Miller). On KWA
appreciated their services and keeping the communities safe.
Federal Way City Council Michael Park guest speaker made special thanks
to the police officers and addressed that the police officers support
community and make better shape and safe communities.. Traditional Korean
Dance performed by KWA Board, Pia Hong Seeger. Mrs Hong's Amazing Grace
song was beautiful. Lakewood Symphony Orchestra performed Overture in
B Flat, Selection from The Phantom of the Opera by andrew Lloyd Webber
(the Phantom of the Opera, Think of Me, Angel of Music, All I ask of
you, Masquerade, and The Music of the Night) conducted by Paul Dorwin
Conductor and ended with Oliver Medley by Lionel Bart.
