Han Woo-Ri Opening Gala Held in front of the Federal Way Commons Mall in June 9, 2006. Many people ,business, community leaders, and dignitaries joined Gala dinner and entertainment include Consul General of the Republic of Korea Chan Ho Kwon, Japan Consul General Tanaka, Senator Tracey Eide, King County, Council Member, Pete von Reichbauer, and Representative, Skip Priest, City of Federal Mayor Mike Park, Federal Way council member, Dean McColgan, Federal Way City Council , Jeanne Burbidge, and Federal Way City Council Linda Kochmar, Council Member Eric Faison to celebrate Han Woo-Ri Opening night of the inaugral Northwest Korean Sports & Cultural Festival in Federal Way. The
Gala started on Boeing Main Stage, Emcees by Ms. Doris Han and Mr.
Young Min Han continued with the Morning Star Korean Cultural Center,
US and Korea National Anthems performed by John Park, special song
by Veronica Mun from University of Washington, Korean Traditional
dance from Aura Corea from South Korea, traditional and contemporary
music, Balkwang from South Korean. Federal
Way City Council Mike Park introduced to the audiances Japanese Consul
General Tanaka, and he made remark that "Japan is the third-largest
U.S. trading partner, and the No. 1 trade partner for companies in
