Dalseo Women Resources Development Institute
visited KWA from South Korea in October 1st to October 2nd with intention
of creating a sisterhood, the group exposed and introduced to KWA's
various programs that support the community.
KWA gave the tour and gave the introduction of KWA and presentation.
KWA
hosted dinner to them on October 2nd, 2008.
Consul
General Lee HaRyong gave special welcome remarks and was proud of KWA
and Dagu Dalseo Women's group for their great leadership and encouraged
continue to work for the communities and for better society.
KWA
is a registered nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization established in 1972
to provide services to Korean wives of American servicemen. Today, KWA
offers a multi-faceted program of services tailored to minority populations,
yet available to all in Tacoma, Olympia, Centralia, Shelton, Federal
Way, Clallam, Snohomish, Jefferson, and Grays Harbor, and Vancouver,
WA.
KWA
mission is to provide services to the Asian and Pacific Island communities
residing in the greater Tacoma/Pierce County area. To provide multi-cultural
and multi-lingual services to limited English speaking immigrants. To
provide services for the low income population of Washington State.
To provide services for the elderly in Washington State and To serve
as a resource for other agencies in to the applicable areas in regards
to ethnic minority issues.
