Last February 21st, 6:00 PM, Tuesday, 2012, Consul General Song Yong Hwan and Consul staff have held Farewell Consul Choi and Welcome Consul Yun reception at the Consulate's house in beautiful view of Wood Way, Washington. Participants were about 90 people. It was mixed emotional feeling between farewell and welcoming consul. Consul General Song Yong An expressed special thanks to Consul Choi for his hard work and dedication to helping Washington state community to be the "very best we can be" Serving. His dedication of work was
vital to success in support of KOR-US FTA development projects that strengthen
the economic base, while enhancing the quality of life for the Korean American
community in Seattle Washington State.
Consul Choi Yeonghan expressed tha he appreciates community leaders and great support by the communities in Washington State. He also expressed that he regrets to say that he wishes that he could have done better and more to support for here in Washington State communities...and he requested to the community leaders to support new consul Yun as much as the communities cared and supported for him before. Representative Cindy Ryu have addressed that Governor Chris Gregoire has honored him as an honorary Washington State Citizen with appreciation of all of his great work and passionate support of KORUS FTA support for the Washington State and dedication of diligent support for Washington State Communities however, Rep. Cindy Ryu said that she is presenting Washington State Badge to him. On behalf of the administration and board of directors of Korean American Communities, NW Unification of Korean American Association, President, John Oh, presented appreciation awards to Consul Choi Yeonghan. That is the greatest news for all those of who have been working hard with officials and business leaders and community leaders together. The KORUS- FTA and the immediate benefits it will bring to Washington state’s economy through its major production industries which is expecting to grow, create jobs, and boost our state’sandU.S economy which all of us are grateful to all who’ve worked diligently for the passage of this KORUS- FTA, particularly to our state senators and representatives, and are eager to strengthen our economic and cultural partnerships with South Korea. U.S.A and South Korea will creating jobs minimum 70,000 jobs embraces U.S and Korea and the global economic recovery which was ratified by the congress b 85 to 15 at 7:17 PM on October 12, 2011.
