THE NATIONS WORKING TOGETHER TO SUPPORT
HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF

President George Bush visited Biloxi, Miss and encouraged Hurricane Katrina victims He made assure the people of the affected areas and this country in September 2nd 2005. He is planning to deploy the assets necessary to get the situation under control, to get the help to the people who have been affected, and he is planning to help rebuild the communities that have been affected.

According to the White house Immediate Release Office of the Press Secretary , Dated September 3rd, 2005: President Bush and President Hu Jintao of China spoke by phone this morning. President Bush thanked President Hu for the sympathies of the Chinese people on the hardships suffered by Americans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Both Presidents agreed that, in the present circumstances, it was best not to have a meeting in Washington next week; and they agreed to reschedule the visit of President Hu to another mutually convenient time. They agreed to meet in New York on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly later this month.

The President George Bush Directed Federal Agencies Throughout The Government To Do All In Their Power To Assist The Victims Of Hurricane Katrina. The top priority is to save and sustain lives. On August 31, 2005, President Bush convened a Cabinet-level task force on Hurricane Katrina response and recovery. Residents of the Gulf Coast states affected by the hurricane have lost loved ones, lost homes, and been displaced from their communities, and they will have the full support of the Federal government.

President George Bush signed legislation in the Oval Office Friday, Sept. 2nd 2005 to provide 10.5 billion dollars in relief aid for the areas along the Gulf Coast affected by Hurricane Katrina. Congress approved the bill last week late Thursday, September 1st, 2005.

President George Bush discussed with Former President Bill Clinton and the Former President George H. W. Bush for the plans to help people affected by Hurricane Katrina in Sept. 1st, 2005 at the White House.

It is positive to see support The Victims Of Hurricane Katrina from many organizations, communities and the companies include the Boeing to Contribute $1 Million to American Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina Relief; Will Match Employee Contributions and will match employee and retiree contributions to that organization through the company's Employees Community Fund. The match is dollar-for-dollar for employees and 50 cents-on-the-dollar for eligible employees retired from Boeing. It extends through September 26.

The Employees Community Fund of The Boeing Company is the world's largest employee-directed charitable organization, investing nearly $33 million per year in communities around the globe where Boeing employees live and work. Employees manage the funds locally at more than 50 Boeing sites and choose the community organizations that receive help.
