Mother's Day Celebration
At Olympia Landwood Community Center

KWA Board and Officers visited Olympia Community Center and celebrated Mother's Day Event. KWA presented gift certificate for 56 FL oz,100 percent pure sesame oil to each one of them for their self cooking activities. KWA also performed sing a long time with the senior citizens. During sing a long time, they requested many folk songs to sing together. Most of the folk songs are from their school time song. KWA shared Korean Rice Cakes and finally joined lunch together and had a great time with them. It was special day for them and many of them felt they are getting younger and mentioned they were depressed in the morning but " we are happy now" and requested visit more often. It was worth spending time with them.
The Korean Women's Association offers Asian/Pacific Senior Mealsites. KWA's services are available to multi-cultural, multi-lingual, and / or limited English speaking Asian immigrants, Pacific Islanders, and since 1987, to the general public. KWA welcome any and all in need.
