You can join Congressman Inslee on Saturday, May 31 for Scoop on Cool Careers. Every few years, he hosts this event for kids to meet local women with interesting jobs, enjoy ice cream and explore exciting careers.

This year, there will be booths with representatives from Bayer, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union, Shoreline Community College, Snoqualmie Ice Cream, the U.S. Forest Service, University of Washington Bothell, the Washington State Department of Ecology, Woodland Park Zoo, and many more.

And don’t miss KING 5 Meteorologist Shannon O’Donnell, who will give opening remarks at 1:15 p.m.

UW Bothell is located approximately 15 miles northeast of downtown Seattle. The campus is easily accessible via bus or car. The Burke-Gilman/Sammamish River Trail system also provides direct access to campus.

Driving Directions From North via I-5/I-405
From Interstate 5, take Exit 182 (I-405 South).
Continue on I-405 for about 5 miles.
Take Exit 24 (NE 195th Street).
Turn RIGHT onto NE 195th Street.
Keep LEFT (becomes 112th Ave NE/Beardslee Blvd).
Go about 0.3 miles.
Turn LEFT at 110th Ave NE.
