THE
BOEING MADE SUCCESSFUL TO MAKING GREEN AIRPLANE:
The Former Boeing Commercial Airplane President, Alan Mulally, Ford President is heading in a new direction. After turning a profit this year in the first quarter and making significant progress on cost reductions, It was difficult situation since the credit crisis. But, Alan Mulally continues focusing towards the greener car which is environmental hybrid models and more safe. New, Larger Engine in 2009 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner Offers Improved Fuel Efficiency and More PowerNew Platform for Hybrid Models. The 2009 Ford Escape and Mariner hybrid models use the new 2.5-liter I-4 designed to run on the Atkinson combustion cycle. A new engine processor enables nearly imperceptible transitions between gas and electric vehicle mode. The hybrid models also feature a new power train damping system to reduce vibrations and feedback to the driver and other vehicle occupants. Previously, the Hybrid DC-3 Airplane was suitable for up to 6,000 pounds of cargo available Since 1930. The U.S. Army ordered a hybrid DC-2/DC-3, the C-39, the first serious effort by the Army to establish an airlift capability. The cargo variants of the DC-3 (including its C-47 military transport derivative) were highly capable airplanes, suitable for up to 6,000 pounds of cargo and large enough to hold a fully assembled ground vehicle. By the end of World War II, more than 10,000 had been built, and airlines kept the DC-3 operating in significant service numbers for quite a few years. Currently, The Boeing company is certified Environmental support. Boeing has been pursuing an ongoing legacy of integrating environmental performance improvements through technology advancements. Over the last 40 years, airplane CO2 emissions have been reduced by around 70 percent and the noise footprint area has been reduced by approximately 90 percent. That legacy continues today with every airplane Boeing design and build. Boeing continues to expending green like Boeing’s newest airplanes, the 787 Dreamliner and the 747-8, exemplify the company’s dedication to environmental design innovation. Incorporating four innovative technologies: new engines, increased use of lightweight composite materials, high-efficiency systems applications, and modern aerodynamics. The Boeing made continuous improvements to the Boeing 777 to lower fuel consumption, reduce emissions and reduce noise. The longer-range 777 airplanes (777-300ER, 777-200LR and 777 Freighter) incorporate wing and system modifications, as well as a new raked wingtip, that reduce airplane drag and improve overall aerodynamic efficiency. While Ford is reducing CO2 emissions and enhancing steering performance compared with traditional hydraulic powered-assisted steering systems, Ford is making improvement for safety which is enabled "Active Park Assist" by Ford's advanced EPAS technology. In addition, it is going to be the easy way of parallel parking. EPAS improves fuel economy up to 5%. The New Active Park Assist Leverages Electric Power Assisted Steering will Nearly 90% of Ford Lineup to Have EPAS by 2012. On Tuesday, Ford President and Chief Executive Officer Alan Mulally told the Free Press that the certification, by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, would help Ford get the word out to the public and critics in Washington that the automaker is making real progress in revamping its vehicle lineup and meeting customer needs. "I think it's going to be a very important proof point that Ford really is serious," Mulally said. Mulally said Ford's drive toward being a fuel efficiency leader dates back several years to goals set by Executive Chairman Bill Ford Jr. Those goals took on greater urgency under a reorganization plan adopted about two years ago. The tax payers are glad to see that the Ford Company CEO, Alan Mulally is making the changes toward the greener and safe cars: hybrids and other fuel-efficient cars and trucks include "Active Park Assist" by Ford's advanced EPAS technology.
