The audiences appreciated the massages from The Washington State's
Governor, Gregoire given by Lieutenant Governor Brad. We are blessed
that we have real leaders from Korean Community like Senator Shin,
and Dr. Jae Kook Song....Korea's trade is important to our economy
like what Governor Gregoire's massage says "Korean Americans
have contributed much to our economy and culture. Today Korea is Washington's
trading partner. In fact, 2003 and 2004 our export to Korea increased
by over 23 percent." The Consul General of the Republic of Korea
Jae-Gouk Kim appreciated to the Washington State Government and Federal
Way City for supporting special event to celebrating Korean Cultural
festival and giving opportunities to exchange Korean's culture and
the sports. Senator Paull Shin's remark sure was a great "We
are all different like different threads "white, yellow, read,
black..." but it is all in one package. Han Woo-Ri means we are
all in one like what FW City Council, Mike Park says.
Senator Paull Shin and Senator Tracey Eide presented $50,000 to the
City of Federal Way to support cultural events. Senator Paull shin
and Senator Eide worked very hard to obtain $50,000 for the festival
and were ultimately successful. The City of Federal Way has done a
tremendous job of securing funding for the festival from private and
governmental sources. Senator Paull shin and Senator Tracey Eide felt
that it was only fitting for the state to contribute. The audiances
waved. Thanks to Senator Paull Shin, Senator Tracey Eide and to the
Washington State.
The National Anthems (U.S.A and Korean) sang by John Park. His voice
carried a great tune and serious moment. The Korean traditional dance
performed by the Morning Star Korean (Morning Star performed around
the world ) Cultural Center, and Kangwon Provincial Arts Group conducted
by Young Gyun Shin. Goo-Oun Mong from Korea, Balkwang (BalKwang perfomed
in Japan-Korea Taiwan Drumms Gala Festival in 1993 ) Balkwang's high
energy percussion added special gala night.. Of course, Energetic
