Han Woo Ri 2006
Han
Woo-Ri (HWR) Festival was held in June 9 to June 11, 2006 by the City
of Federal Way whom sought to promote events that would reflect and
celebrate the strengths of the community. Federal Way recognized the
opportunity to create an event that would showcase the Korean culture
to people throughout the Pacific Greater Seattle. The festival provided
a unique entertainment opportunity, strengthen understanding and appreciation
of Korean culture, and solidify trade relations with Washington State's
sixth-largest international trading partner. The communities appreciates
great support from the State of Washington - Senator Paull Shin, Senator
Tracey Eide and other officials and Metropolitan King County Executive
Director, Ron Sims King County, Council member Pete von Reichbauer,
King County Council Members, City of Federal Way, Mayor Park and Council
members, The Boeing Company, Korean Air, HMart, Comcast, and many other
sponsors.
Han
Woo Ri 2006 special guests: Consul General Republic of Korea, Chan Ho
Kwon, Federal Way City Of Mayor Mike Park, Japanese Consul General,
Tanaka.
Kim Hyunuk, Ph.D. President, The Int. Peace Forum for Unification, Foreign
Policy and National Security, President, Korea Society of Nuclear Geopolitical
Studies; made special attendance for during the program events for Han
Woo Ri 2006.
